Palawas is a small village of 111 hectares in Dausa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Palawas depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 44.98% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Palawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Palawas's pin code is 303501[4], and village code is 01395900. The area of Palawas is segregated as 44.98 hectares irrigated area, 38.71 hectares unirrigated, the 16.08 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11.11 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Palawas has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Palawas is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 828 and has total administration over 171 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Palawas has 118 children, 65 boys and 53 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 631 (76.21%) males constitute 338 (40.82%) of the population and females 293 (35.39%).

According to a census 2011 report, 318 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 211 male, 107 female with 262 (82.39%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 205 males and 57 females. 12 males and 10 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 56 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
