Palwa is a small village of 323 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Palwa depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 33.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Palwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Palwa's pin code is 301414[4], and village code is 00902000. The area of Palwa is segregated as 73 hectares irrigated area, 91 hectares unirrigated, the 87 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Palwa has One post office (Palwa B.O) and Eight public telephones. Palwa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Palwa is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2552 and has total administration over 463 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Palwa has 363 children, 196 boys and 167 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 622 (24.37%) males constitute 320 (12.54%) of the population and females 302 (11.83%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 363 (14.22%) males constitute 208 (8.15%) of the population and females 155 (6.07%).

The workforce is 718 male, 619 female with 1097 (82.05%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 626 males and 471 females. 283 males and 373 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 37 male and 47 female agricultural labor. 240 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
