Panota is a small village of 1303 hectares in Desuri Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Panota depends on Sadri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 141.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Panota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Panota's pin code is 306022[4], and village code is 02455900. The area of Panota is segregated as 353 hectares irrigated area, 508 hectares unirrigated, the 290 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 152 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Panota has One post office (Panota B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Panota has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Panota is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1969 and has total administration over 394 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Panota has 306 children, 151 boys and 155 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 388 (19.71%) males constitute 196 (9.95%) of the population and females 192 (9.75%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 47 (2.39%) males constitute 21 (1.07%) of the population and females 26 (1.32%).

The workforce is 508 male, 495 female with 418 (41.67%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 325 males and 93 females. 122 males and 69 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 81 male and 16 female agricultural labor. 585 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sadri and Pali to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
