Paota is a small village of 918 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Paota depends on TAKHATGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 230.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Paota is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of TAKHATGARH and Jalor to sell earthen pot and make their living.
