Papar is a small village of 1200 hectares in Jamwa Ramgarh Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Papar depends on Jaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 92.36% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Papar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Papar's pin code is 303012[4], and village code is 01602700. The area of Papar is segregated as 92.36 hectares irrigated area, 149.58 hectares unirrigated, the 175.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 131.45 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Papar has One post office (Papad B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Papar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Papar is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2645 and has total administration over 441 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Papar has 418 children, 236 boys and 182 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 560 (21.17%) males constitute 301 (11.38%) of the population and females 259 (9.79%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1549 (58.56%) males constitute 792 (29.94%) of the population and females 757 (28.62%).

The workforce is 586 male, 400 female with 733 (74.34%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 519 males and 214 females. 155 males and 150 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 253 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaipur and Jaipur to sell wood furniture and make their living.
