Papri is a small village of 1433 hectares in Viratnagar Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Papri depends on Viratnagar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 61.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Papri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Papri's pin code is 303102[4], and village code is 01463600. The area of Papri is segregated as 101.37 hectares irrigated area, 96.81 hectares unirrigated, the 35.17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 38.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Papri has One post office (Sothana B.O) and One public telephone. Papri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Papri is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2300 and has total administration over 390 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Papri has 432 children, 240 boys and 192 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 649 (28.22%) males constitute 342 (14.87%) of the population and females 307 (13.35%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 14 (0.61%) males constitute 6 (0.26%) of the population and females 8 (0.35%).

The workforce is 549 male, 322 female with 487 (55.91%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 387 males and 100 females. 71 males and 40 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 female agricultural labor. 384 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Viratnagar and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
