Parasoli is a small village of 2004 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Parasoli depends on Kishangarh Renwal, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Parasoli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Parasoli's pin code is 303305[4], and village code is 01513800. The area of Parasoli is segregated as 144.9 hectares irrigated area, 1396.61 hectares unirrigated, the 246.46 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 216.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Parasoli has One post office (Padasoli B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Parasoli has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Parasoli is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3300 and has total administration over 535 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Parasoli has 563 children, 306 boys and 257 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 575 (17.42%) males constitute 303 (9.18%) of the population and females 272 (8.24%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 11 (0.33%) males constitute 5 (0.15%) of the population and females 6 (0.18%).

The workforce is 891 male, 470 female with 1127 (82.81%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 827 males and 300 females. 413 males and 110 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 47 male and 148 female agricultural labor. 234 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kishangarh Renwal and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
