Parawa is a small village of 1644 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Parawa depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 89.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Parawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Parawa's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02325800. The area of Parawa is segregated as 889 hectares irrigated area, 687 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Parawa has One post office (Parawa B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Parawa has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Parawa is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3564 and has total administration over 641 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Parawa has 574 children, 299 boys and 275 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 807 (22.64%) males constitute 406 (11.39%) of the population and females 401 (11.25%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 38 (1.07%) males constitute 21 (0.59%) of the population and females 17 (0.48%).

The workforce is 973 male, 900 female with 1585 (84.62%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 859 males and 726 females. 672 males and 669 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 44 male and 32 female agricultural labor. 288 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
