Paris Dauphine University - PSL is a public research university that is located in Paris, France. Its official name is Université Paris-Dauphine, but it is popularly known as Paris Dauphine - PSL or Dauphine - PSL. It is one of the 13 universities that came into existence as a result of the partition of the historic University of Paris (metonymically known as the Sorbonne). It is the only institution of higher education in France that may claim to be both a university and a grande école at the same time. PSL University was also established with Dauphine Institution as a founding member and component college.
The education that is provided at Dauphine is world-famous, particularly in the fields of economics, mathematics, law, and business strategy. The unique legal position that Dauphine has within the framework of the French higher education system enables it to function as a selective university. On average, ninety to ninety-five percent of approved pupils had either high distinctions or the highest distinctions possible on the French High School National Exam scores that they submitted.
In addition to being a founding member and constituent college of PSL University, Dauphine University is ranked number one in France and is among the top 50 universities in the world. It is also a participant in the Conference of the Great Schools (Conference of the Great Schools).
