Patan is a small village of 1431 hectares in Bagidora Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patan depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Patan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Patan's pin code is 327603[4], and village code is 03470300. The area of Patan is segregated as 25 hectares irrigated area, 728.29 hectares unirrigated, the 231 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 80 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Patan has One post office (Patan B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Patan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Patan is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3995 and has total administration over 750 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 4 (0.10%) males constitute 3 (0.08%) of the population and females 1 (0.03%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 2461 (61.60%) males constitute 1237 (30.96%) of the population and females 1224 (30.64%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 2276 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1107 male, 1169 female with 1670 (73.37%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 917 males and 753 females. 758 males and 537 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 58 male and 195 female agricultural labor. 606 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
