Patan is a small village of 1222 hectares in Kishangarh Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patan depends on Kishangarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 25.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Patan's pin code is 305816[4], and village code is 02492000. The area of Patan is segregated as 55 hectares irrigated area, 790 hectares unirrigated, the 304 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Patan has One post office (Patan B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Patan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Patan is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2745 and has total administration over 412 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Patan has 496 children, 268 boys and 228 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 506 (18.43%) males constitute 258 (9.40%) of the population and females 248 (9.03%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 13 (0.47%) males constitute 5 (0.18%) of the population and females 8 (0.29%).

The workforce is 705 male, 471 female with 818 (69.56%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 561 males and 257 females. 158 males and 106 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 35 male and 131 female agricultural labor. 358 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kishangarh and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
