Patan is a small village of 1904 hectares in Neem-Ka-Thana Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patan depends on Neem ka Thana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 202.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Patan's pin code is 332718[4], and village code is 01747800. The area of Patan is segregated as 307 hectares irrigated area, 123 hectares unirrigated, the 189 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 279 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Patan has One post office (Patan S.O (Sikar)) and Fifteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Patan has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Patan is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 7004 and has total administration over 1122 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Patan has 1081 children, 571 boys and 510 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1065 (15.21%) males constitute 552 (7.88%) of the population and females 513 (7.32%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 297 (4.24%) males constitute 158 (2.26%) of the population and females 139 (1.98%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2295 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1814 male, 481 female with 1780 (77.56%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1676 males and 104 females. 257 males and 14 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 35 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 515 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Neem ka Thana and Sikar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
