Pathena is a small village of 1467 hectares in Weir Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pathena depends on Kherli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Pathena is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pathena's pin code is 321615[4], and village code is 01052500. The area of Pathena is segregated as 885 hectares irrigated area, 316 hectares unirrigated, the 155 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 111 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pathena has One post office (Pathena S.O) and Twenty Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Pathena has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Pathena is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5994 and has total administration over 1077 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Pathena has 892 children, 499 boys and 393 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1291 (21.54%) males constitute 693 (11.56%) of the population and females 598 (9.98%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 14 (0.23%) males constitute 7 (0.12%) of the population and females 7 (0.12%).

The workforce is 1556 male, 1173 female with 1536 (56.28%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1290 males and 246 females. 673 males and 164 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 162 male and 34 female agricultural labor. 1193 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kherli and Bharatpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
