Patus is a small village of 506 hectares in Jaitaran Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patus depends on Jaitaran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 23.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patus is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Patus's pin code is 306302[4], and village code is 02392000. The area of Patus is segregated as 51 hectares irrigated area, 99 hectares unirrigated, the 150 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 206 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Patus has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Patus is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 362 and has total administration over 92 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Patus has 49 children, 26 boys and 23 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 25 (6.91%) males constitute 12 (3.31%) of the population and females 13 (3.59%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 63 (17.40%) males constitute 33 (9.12%) of the population and females 30 (8.29%).

The workforce is 90 male, 90 female with 60 (33.33%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 54 males and 6 females. 2 males are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 7 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 120 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaitaran and Pali to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
