Payra is a small village of 172 hectares in Salumbar Tehsil in UDAIPUR district in the state of RAJASTHAN, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Payra depends on Dhariawad, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Payra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Payra's pin code is 313038[4], and village code is 03210200. The area of Payra is segregated as 114 hectares irrigated area, the 24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 34.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Payra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Payra is a census village in the district of UDAIPUR, RAJASTHAN. The village has a total population of 1682 and has total administration over 353 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Payra has 267 children, 153 boys and 114 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 100 (5.95%) males constitute 52 (3.09%) of the population and females 48 (2.85%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 549 (32.64%) males constitute 286 (17.0%) of the population and females 263 (15.64%).

The workforce is 507 male, 448 female with 809 (84.71%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 464 males and 345 females. 386 males and 320 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 5 male and 12 female agricultural labor. 146 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dhariawad and UDAIPUR to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
