Phuliya is a small village of 8122 hectares in Fatehgarh Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Phuliya depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Phuliya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Phuliya's pin code is 345034[4], and village code is 02070600. The area of Phuliya is segregated as 278.84 hectares unirrigated, the 7290.27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 552.82 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Phuliya has One post office (Phulia B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Phuliya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Phuliya is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 789 and has total administration over 144 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Phuliya has 148 children, 93 boys and 55 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 87 (11.03%) males constitute 47 (5.96%) of the population and females 40 (5.07%).

The workforce is 246 male, 5 female with 247 (98.41%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 244 males and 3 females. 163 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 female agricultural labor. 4 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
