Pichani is a small village of 337 hectares in Kotputli Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pichani depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pichani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pichani's pin code is 303105[4], and village code is 01450000. The area of Pichani is segregated as 118.1 hectares irrigated area, 165.41 hectares unirrigated, the 3.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 13.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pichani is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1140 and has total administration over 202 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Pichani has 165 children, 84 boys and 81 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 193 (16.93%) males constitute 110 (9.65%) of the population and females 83 (7.28%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 71 (6.23%) males constitute 35 (3.07%) of the population and females 36 (3.16%).

The workforce is 285 male, 161 female with 253 (56.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 199 males and 54 females. 109 males and 52 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 5 male. 193 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
