Pichoona is a small village of 1132 hectares in Rupbas Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pichoona depends on Bharatpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Pichoona is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Pichoona's pin code is 321301[4], and village code is 01087600. The area of Pichoona is segregated as 746 hectares irrigated area, 236 hectares unirrigated, the 47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 103 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pichoona has One post office (Pichuna S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Pichoona has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Pichoona is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4729 and has total administration over 777 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Pichoona has 693 children, 367 boys and 326 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1834 (38.78%) males constitute 993 (21.0%) of the population and females 841 (17.78%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 57 (1.21%) males constitute 29 (0.61%) of the population and females 28 (0.59%).

The workforce is 1213 male, 709 female with 1405 (73.1%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1027 males and 378 females. 432 males and 122 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 315 male and 221 female agricultural labor. 517 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bharatpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
