Piplai is a small village of 1533 hectares in Thanagazi Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Piplai depends on VIRATNAGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Piplai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Piplai's pin code is 301027[4], and village code is 00891000. The area of Piplai is segregated as 100 hectares irrigated area, 223 hectares unirrigated, the 188 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1022 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Piplai has One post office (Piplai B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Piplai has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Piplai is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1906 and has total administration over 323 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Piplai has 309 children, 160 boys and 149 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 414 (21.72%) males constitute 225 (11.80%) of the population and females 189 (9.92%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 227 (11.91%) males constitute 123 (6.45%) of the population and females 104 (5.46%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VIRATNAGAR and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
