Poadan is a small village of 40.79 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Poadan depends on Handia (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply One tank and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,One canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Poadan's pin code is 221503[4], and village code is 05595000. The area of Poadan is segregated as 33 hectares irrigated area, 0.34 hectares unirrigated area. the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Poadan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Poadan is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1596 and has total administration over 238 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 542 (33.96%) males constitute 292 (18.30%) of the population and females 250 (15.66%).

The workforce is 421 male, 224 female with 445 (68.99%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 300 males and 145 females. 58 males and 5 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 26 male. 200 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Handia (NP) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
