Pooran is a small village of 5766 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pooran depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 240.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pooran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Pooran's pin code is 343039[4], and village code is 02306100. The area of Pooran is segregated as 637 hectares irrigated area, 107.41 hectares unirrigated, the 3451 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1281 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Pooran has One post office (Puran B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Pooran has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Pooran is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4000 and has total administration over 745 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 857 (21.43%) males constitute 422 (10.55%) of the population and females 435 (10.88%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 939 (23.48%) males constitute 518 (12.95%) of the population and females 421 (10.53%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1904 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 997 male, 907 female with 1172 (61.55%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 860 males and 312 females. 372 males and 187 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 93 male and 47 female agricultural labor. 732 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
