Pothiwara is a small village of 368 hectares in Kushalgarh Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pothiwara depends on Partapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pothiwara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Pothiwara's pin code is 327031[4], and village code is 03462000. The area of Pothiwara is segregated as 22 hectares irrigated area, 181 hectares unirrigated, the 132 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 33.39 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Pothiwara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Pothiwara is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1475 and has total administration over 298 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 16 (1.08%) males constitute 9 (0.61%) of the population and females 7 (0.47%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 1447 (98.10%) males constitute 737 (49.97%) of the population and females 710 (48.14%).

The workforce is 358 male, 357 female with 319 (44.62%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 229 males and 90 females. 190 males and 66 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 396 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Partapur and Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
