Pugaliya is a small village of 2715 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pugaliya depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pugaliya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pugaliya's pin code is 342021[4], and village code is 01975800. The area of Pugaliya is segregated as 10 hectares irrigated area, 2580 hectares unirrigated, the 104 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
