Queendom Puzzle (Korean: 퀸덤퍼즐) is a television program that is set to air on Mnet starting June 2023. It is known as a spin-off series of Queendom.
The show will focus on forming a powerful global project girl group by taking members from currently promoting girl groups as well as female artists and putting them together like a puzzle.
It will take on a completely new format from the pre-existing "Queendom" series, with individual competitions taking place rather than team ones. The 28 contestants will compete with performances to become the final 7 members of a project girl group.
On April 10, 2023, Mnet released the first teaser video on their YouTube channel. In the teaser, iconic girl group songs play in the background as the silhouettes of seven female celebrities are shown. Along with the confirmation that the first lineup will be revealed in May, the teaser includes the mysterious code on the bottom, "IURP WZHQWB HLJKW WR VHYHQ",[1] which deciphers to "From twenty-eight to seven".
On April 24, 2023, Mnet confirmed that Girls' Generation's Taeyeon will return to host as the MC of the spin-off series.[2] The first six of contestants were also revealed,[3] as well as H1-KEY's agency, GLG, confirming two of their members' participation in the show.[4]
On April 25, 2023, it was revealed that WJSN's Yeoreum will be a contestant in the show.[5] On April 26, 2023, it was revealed that members Jiwon, Chaerin and Bora from Cherry Bullet will participate in the show.[6] On April 27, 2023, it was revealed that Yuki from Purple Kiss will also be a contestant.[7]
