Radwa is a small village of 229 hectares in Mandawar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Radwa depends on KHAIRTHAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 40.15% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Radwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Radwa's pin code is 301401[4], and village code is 00777600. The area of Radwa is segregated as 177.36 hectares irrigated area, 34.25 hectares unirrigated, the 4.48 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 13.04 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Radwa has One post office (Sihalikalan B.O) and Two public telephones. Radwa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Radwa is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1526 and has total administration over 289 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Radwa has 200 children, 103 boys and 97 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 266 (17.43%) males constitute 141 (9.24%) of the population and females 125 (8.19%).

The workforce is 539 male, 510 female with 417 (39.75%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 288 males and 129 females. 181 males and 101 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 24 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 632 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHAIRTHAL and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
