Rajlota is a small village of 791 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rajlota depends on Goredi Chancha, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 203.75% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rajlota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rajlota's pin code is 341503[4], and village code is 01860000. The area of Rajlota is segregated as 203.75 hectares irrigated area, 451.25 hectares unirrigated, the 102.85 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 33.25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Rajlota has One post office (Rajlota B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Rajlota has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Rajlota is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1954 and has total administration over 422 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Rajlota has 278 children, 153 boys and 125 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 283 (14.48%) males constitute 135 (6.91%) of the population and females 148 (7.57%).

The workforce is 535 male, 442 female with 754 (77.18%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 510 males and 244 females. 79 males and 47 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 354 male and 185 female agricultural labor. 223 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Goredi Chancha and Nagaur to sell millet and make their living.
