Ramnagar is a small village of 137 hectares in Alwar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ramnagar depends on KHAIRTHAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 30.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ramnagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ramnagar's pin code is 301001[4], and village code is 00796000. The area of Ramnagar is segregated as 50 hectares irrigated area, 53 hectares unirrigated, the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 29 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ramnagar is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 485 and has total administration over 100 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ramnagar has 92 children, 43 boys and 49 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 37 (7.63%) males constitute 21 (4.33%) of the population and females 16 (3.30%).

The workforce is 131 male, 147 female with 220 (79.14%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 119 males and 101 females. 95 males and 70 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 18 male and 30 female agricultural labor. 58 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHAIRTHAL and Alwar to sell rope making and make their living.
