Ramnagar is a small village of 658 hectares in Merta Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ramnagar depends on Merta City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ramnagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Ramnagar's pin code is 342902[4], and village code is 01829200. The area of Ramnagar is segregated as 240.35 hectares irrigated area, 370.4 hectares unirrigated, the 29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 18 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ramnagar is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1884 and has total administration over 365 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 16 (0.85%) males constitute 8 (0.42%) of the population and females 8 (0.42%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Merta City and Nagaur to sell furniture and make their living.
