Rampura is a small village of 2514 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rampura depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rampura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Rampura's pin code is 345033[4], and village code is 02053600. The area of Rampura is segregated as 1463 hectares unirrigated, the 1051 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Rampura has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Rampura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Rampura is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 562 and has total administration over 104 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 192 (34.16%) males constitute 106 (18.86%) of the population and females 86 (15.30%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 76 (13.52%) males constitute 39 (6.94%) of the population and females 37 (6.58%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
