Rani Gaon is a small village of 1786 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rani Gaon depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rani Gaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Rani Gaon's pin code is 344012[4], and village code is 02218000. The area of Rani Gaon is segregated as 917.17 hectares unirrigated, the 6.37 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 613.96 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Rani Gaon has One post office (Ranigaon S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Rani Gaon has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Rani Gaon is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2700 and has total administration over 515 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 1287 (47.67%) males constitute 685 (25.37%) of the population and females 602 (22.30%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 114 (4.22%) males constitute 64 (2.37%) of the population and females 50 (1.85%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
