Ranipura is a small village of 1110 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ranipura depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 344.67% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Ranipura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ranipura's pin code is 323026[3], and village code is 02710700. The area of Ranipura is segregated as 686.15 hectares irrigated area, 73 hectares unirrigated, the 213 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 138 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ranipura is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3454 and has total administration over 679 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ranipura has 479 children, 250 boys and 229 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 693 (20.06%) males constitute 326 (9.44%) of the population and females 367 (10.63%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 203 (5.88%) males constitute 111 (3.21%) of the population and females 92 (2.66%).

The workforce is 946 male, 823 female with 1263 (71.4%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 875 males and 388 females. 545 males and 255 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 89 male and 104 female agricultural labor. 506 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell juggery and make their living.
