Raphael Roettgen is a German-Brazilian space investor and educator.
He is the founder and managing partner of E2MC Ventures[1] an investment company focused on space.
Besides investing, Roettgen is engaged in several projects to help educate a broad audience about the emerging space economy.
Roettgen lectures on space business at several institutions including the International Space University. He is a mentor in the space stream of the Creative Destruction Lab, as well as at Seraphim Space Camp.[2][3][4]
Roettgen is also the instructor of Space Entrepreneurship 101, an massive open online course on the popular learning platform Udemy.[5]
In October 2020 Roettgen published Hoch Hinaus[6], an introductory book on space business and entrepreneurship.
Roettgen is also a regular contributor to Spacewatch.Global[7][8], a digital magazine and portal focused in the Space industry|space industry.
In March 2020, Roettgen started hosting The Space Business Podcast, a podcast about space entrepreneurship. The podcast is produced in partnership with the International Space University and sponsored by NanoAvionics. As of May 2021 the Podcast has over 9500 downloads[9]. He has also appeared as a guest on other podcasts, e.g. the On Orbit Podcast by Via Satellite [10]
Roettgen is a governing member of the International Space University, a space-focused educational institution where he is also a lecturer and alumnus of the Space Studies Program.[11]
