Ras is a small village of 6327 hectares in Jaitaran Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ras depends on Beawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 381.82% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ras is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Beawar and Pali to sell ghee and make their living.
