Rasgan is a small village of 1009 hectares in Mandawar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rasgan depends on KHAIRTHAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rasgan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rasgan's pin code is 301404[4], and village code is 00781000. The area of Rasgan is segregated as 625 hectares irrigated area, 307 hectares unirrigated, remaining 77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Rasgan has One post office (Rasgan B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Rasgan has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Rasgan is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3688 and has total administration over 619 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Rasgan has 538 children, 304 boys and 234 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1422 (38.56%) males constitute 749 (20.31%) of the population and females 673 (18.25%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 51 (1.38%) males constitute 27 (0.73%) of the population and females 24 (0.65%).

The workforce is 947 male, 718 female with 1398 (83.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 907 males and 491 females. 401 males and 312 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 184 male and 137 female agricultural labor. 267 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHAIRTHAL and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
