Rasidan is a small village of 811 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rasidan depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rasidan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Rasidan's pin code is 342015[4], and village code is 01965500. The area of Rasidan is segregated as 740.06 hectares unirrigated, the 53.02 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17.6 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Rasidan has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Rasidan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Rasidan is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1179 and has total administration over 173 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Rasidan has 250 children, 131 boys and 119 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 81 (6.87%) males constitute 42 (3.56%) of the population and females 39 (3.31%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
