Ratanara is a small village of 220 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratanara depends on JODHPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ratanara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Ratanara's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02277000. The area of Ratanara is segregated as 69 hectares irrigated area, 48 hectares unirrigated, the 57 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 46 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Ratanara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ratanara is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 499 and has total administration over 91 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ratanara has 93 children, 46 boys and 47 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 141 (28.26%) males constitute 66 (13.23%) of the population and females 75 (15.03%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 140 (28.06%) males constitute 69 (13.83%) of the population and females 71 (14.23%).

The workforce is 134 male, 152 female with 110 (38.46%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 98 males and 12 females. 23 males and 10 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 33 males and 1 female agricultural labor. 176 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of JODHPUR and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
