Ratlai is a small village of 680 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratlai depends on Bakani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 128.51% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ratlai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ratlai's pin code is 326023[4], and village code is 04023600. The area of Ratlai is segregated as 254.99 hectares irrigated area, 38.05 hectares unirrigated, the 164.3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Ratlai is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 7743 and has total administration over 1537 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

According to a census 2011 report, 2856 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 2015 male, 841 female with 2152 (75.35%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1748 males and 404 females. 494 males and 109 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 231 male and 114 female agricultural labor. 704 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bakani and Jhalawar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
