Rawta is a small village of 1556 hectares in Deoli Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rawta depends on Deoli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rawta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rawta's pin code is 304804[4], and village code is 02661300. The area of Rawta is segregated as 464 hectares irrigated area, 252 hectares unirrigated, the 75 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 427 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Rawta has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Rawta is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 652 and has total administration over 152 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Rawta has 90 children, 52 boys and 38 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 640 (98.16%) males constitute 333 (51.07%) of the population and females 307 (47.09%).

The workforce is 180 male, 201 female with 162 (42.52%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 137 males and 25 females. 100 males and 19 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 female agricultural labor. 219 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Deoli and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
