Rayta is a small village of 832 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rayta depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rayta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rayta's pin code is 313702[4], and village code is 03157300. The area of Rayta is segregated as 2 hectares irrigated area, 33 hectares unirrigated, the 235.9 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Rayta has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Rayta is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 651 and has total administration over 150 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Rayta has 172 children, 81 boys and 91 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 645 (99.08%) males constitute 317 (48.69%) of the population and females 328 (50.38%).

The workforce is 157 male, 155 female with 138 (44.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 137 males and 1 female. 1 male are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 174 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
