A Spanish professional football club headquartered in Madrid, Real Madrid Club de Ftbol (commonly known as Real Madrid) is a member of the UEFA Champions League.

Madrid Football Team was founded on March 6, 1902, and has worn a white home shirt ever since. The club was originally known as Real Madrid Football Club. The honorary term real, which translates as "royal," was given on the club by King Alfonso XIII in 1920, along with the inclusion of a royal crown in the club's logo. Since 1947, the club has played its home games in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, which has a capacity of 81,044 spectators in the heart of Madrid.
