Riyan is a small village of 3590 hectares in Bilara Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Riyan depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 50.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Riyan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Riyan's pin code is 342601[4], and village code is 02007600. The area of Riyan is segregated as 144.18 hectares irrigated area, 2971.26 hectares unirrigated, the 165.82 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 308.92 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Riyan is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5302 and has total administration over 1023 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 835 (15.75%) males constitute 425 (8.02%) of the population and females 410 (7.73%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2524 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1319 male, 1205 female with 1495 (59.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1137 males and 358 females. 287 males and 178 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 159 male and 107 female agricultural labor. 1029 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
