Romain Valadier-Picard (born 20 July 2002) is a French judoka competing in the extra-lightweight category (−60 kg). He became Junior European Champion in 2021 and won two bronze medals at the World Junior Championships in 2021 and 2022.
Romain Valadier-Picard was born on 20 July 2002. He trains at AC Boulogne-Billancourt in the judo section together with among others Kenny Liveze et Sarah-Léonie Cysique.[1][2]
He is 1.60 metres (5 ft 2 in) tall and weighs 55 kilograms (120 lb).[3]
In 2021, Romain Valadier-Picard becomes 2021 European Junior Judo Championships|European junior champion in Luxembourg [4] and wins a bronze medal at the 2021 World Judo Juniors Championships in Olbia, both in -60 kg category.
In July 2022, Romain wins for the second time a bronze medal at the 2022 World Judo Juniors Championships in Guayaquil[5] followed the next month by a bronze medal at the 2022 Judo Grand Slam Budapest. This leads him to his first selection to the world judo championships in the senior category. [6]
