Ropsi is a small village of 2206 hectares in Raniwara Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ropsi depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 52.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ropsi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Ropsi's pin code is 343049[4], and village code is 02334700. The area of Ropsi is segregated as 353 hectares irrigated area, 1160 hectares unirrigated, the 218 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 475.02 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ropsi has One post office (Ropsi B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Ropsi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ropsi is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3558 and has total administration over 546 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ropsi has 665 children, 328 boys and 337 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 640 (17.99%) males constitute 329 (9.25%) of the population and females 311 (8.74%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 443 (12.45%) males constitute 224 (6.30%) of the population and females 219 (6.16%).

The workforce is 941 male, 499 female with 1215 (84.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 873 males and 342 females. 401 males and 155 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 95 male and 122 female agricultural labor. 225 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell earthen pot and make their living.
