Ruby Recordings is an American record label based in Utica, New York, United States, and owned by American hip hop artist and record producer Trizzy.[1][2][3] The label is currently distributed through The Orchard, a unit of Sony Music Entertainment.[4][5]

History[edit]

In 2015, Ruby Recordings was founded by Trizzy with the intent of signing hip hop artists.[6] In September 2016, Ruby Recordings signed its first artist, rapper Haitian Fresh.[7] Michael Wavves signed to the label that same year.[8] In August 2017, he also signed Lifeof9000 moments after hearing his demo.[9]

In mid 2018, Trizzy signed rapper AB Tazz to the imprint.[10] In late 2018, he also signed ReeseMoe to the imprint.[11] On May 11, 2020, Trizzy signed Canadian rapper JT5K to the label.[12] Singer Steevy Franch was signed to the label in June 2020.[13] In early 2021, Trizzy signed Utica, New York rapper FriO Isa Blaque to the imprint.[14] On March 26, 2021, Trizzy signed rapper Moeschino to the imprint.
