Ruwan is a small village of 1600 hectares in Didwana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ruwan depends on Didwana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 530.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ruwan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Ruwan's pin code is 341318[4], and village code is 01778100. The area of Ruwan is segregated as 530 hectares irrigated area, 962.81 hectares unirrigated, the 65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Ruwan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ruwan is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2619 and has total administration over 455 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ruwan has 424 children, 233 boys and 191 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 834 (31.84%) males constitute 442 (16.88%) of the population and females 392 (14.97%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 13 (0.50%) males constitute 6 (0.23%) of the population and females 7 (0.27%).

The workforce is 699 male, 513 female with 767 (63.28%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 542 males and 225 females. 285 males and 162 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 27 male and 31 female agricultural labor. 445 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Didwana and Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
