Jayden O'Neill-Crichlow, known professionally as SJ, is a British rapper. He is a member of the UK drill group OFB (group). A football player in his youth, SJ would release his debut song in 2018.
During his youth, Jayden would play as a youth footballer for Boreham Wood F.C.'s U18 team.[1][2] At age 14, Jayden received a reprimand for the possession of a bladed article.[3]
SJ would begin his career in 2018 with the release of "Bad B on the Nizz", alongside Bandokay and Double Lz; he would form the OFB trio alongside them.[4] In December 2018, he would release "Reality" alongside Bandokay and Double Lz.[5]
In 2019, SJ would appear in several singles as a part of OFB, including "Purge",[6] "Next Up?",[7] and "Hardest Bars Freestyle".[8] In March, SJ would release "Listen Up" alongside Bandokay;[9] the song would call out Tion Wayne.[10]
SJ's breakout single, "Youngest in Charge", was released in 2019; according to The Independent, the song mocked the murder of Kelvin Odunuyi, who was shot to death in Wood Green on 8 March 2018.[11] By July 2021, the song had 24 million streams on Spotify. A remix of "Youngest in Charge" was released in July 2021, which featured Dezzie, Izzpot, Double Lz and Bandokay.[12] In November, he would release Frontstreet (album) through OFB; the mixtape would peak at number 36 on the UK Albums Chart and number 97 on the Irish Albums Chart.
In January 2020, SJ was offered a £150k deal with an unknown record label.
