Sagatra is a small village of 690 hectares in Sarada Tehsil in Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sagatra depends on Salumbar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Sagatra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sagatra's pin code is 313902[4], and village code is 03255000. The area of Sagatra is segregated as 103 hectares irrigated area, 102 hectares unirrigated, the 263 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 222 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sagatra has One post office (Sagtara B.O) and Thirty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sagatra has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Sagatra is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2022 and has total administration over 461 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sagatra has 223 children, 117 boys and 106 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 35 (1.73%) males constitute 19 (0.94%) of the population and females 16 (0.79%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 195 (9.64%) males constitute 99 (4.90%) of the population and females 96 (4.75%).

The workforce is 532 male, 143 female with 200 (29.63%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 185 males and 15 females. 75 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male . 475 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Salumbar and Udaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
