Sahari is a small village of 407 hectares in Kathumar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sahari depends on KHERLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sahari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sahari's pin code is 301035[4], and village code is 00946100. The area of Sahari is segregated as 266 hectares irrigated area, 75 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 63 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sahari has One post office (Sahari B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sahari has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sahari is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1822 and has total administration over 322 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sahari has 267 children, 139 boys and 128 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 574 (31.50%) males constitute 311 (17.07%) of the population and females 263 (14.43%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 71 (3.90%) males constitute 44 (2.41%) of the population and females 27 (1.48%).

The workforce is 494 male, 438 female with 462 (49.57%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 449 males and 13 females. 377 males and 4 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 29 males. 470 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHERLI and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
