Sahnawa is a small village of 773 hectares in Chittaurgarh Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sahnawa depends on Chittaurgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 21.22% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sahnawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sahnawa's pin code is 312001[4], and village code is 03609700. The area of Sahnawa is segregated as 193.63 hectares irrigated area, 138.65 hectares unirrigated, the 296.24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 54.78 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sahnawa has One post office (Sehnwa B.O). Sahnawa has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sahnawa is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1987 and has total administration over 434 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sahnawa has 255 children, 133 boys and 122 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 427 (21.49%) males constitute 201 (10.12%) of the population and females 226 (11.37%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 142 (7.15%) males constitute 74 (3.72%) of the population and females 68 (3.42%).

The workforce is 585 male, 550 female with 1086 (95.68%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 568 males and 518 females. 327 males and 368 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 79 male and 89 female agricultural labor. 49 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chittaurgarh and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
