Sahori is a small village of 621 hectares in Alwar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sahori depends on ALWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 190.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sahori is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sahori's pin code is 301001[4], and village code is 00855900. The area of Sahori is segregated as 311 hectares irrigated area, 42 hectares unirrigated, the 117 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 150.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sahori has Twelve public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sahori has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Sahori is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2633 and has total administration over 517 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sahori has 527 children, 269 boys and 258 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1214 (46.11%) males constitute 637 (24.19%) of the population and females 577 (21.91%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 40 (1.52%) males constitute 18 (0.68%) of the population and females 22 (0.84%).

The workforce is 779 male, 755 female with 783 (51.04%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 590 males and 193 females. 412 males and 118 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 158 male and 70 female agricultural labor. 751 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
